the theme this week over at pebbles is fun with flowers. i made this layout using a photo i took of a friend's little girl. (is she not flipping adorable?! if you have read my blog, ahem, when i actually DO blog, you've seen her before. :) ) i used patterns from fresh goods, hip hip hooray & with love.
i simply cut the flowers out in different sizes and layered them around the corner. All items are from Pebbles - except the "favorite" tag (ormolu) and the cardstock (american crafts) for a detailed list and a peek at all the other fantastic flower creations, visit the pebbles blog.

a teenager!
YIKES! yep, i have one now. remember me in your prayers, would you? HA! i made this for last week's product spotlight over on the pebbles blog. the featured product was sequin candy dots. i am kinda obsessed with them & may or may not have ordered a ton of extras from scrapbook.com.... (you can now order them directly from pebbles - RIGHT HERE)
to make the design, i used my cameo (shocking, i know!) and welded 3 of the mosaic patterns together. I then cut the same pattern from my 3 pattern papers and filled in the spot. i adhered the sequins around the circles (love that they are sticky; so you can just add them!), added a pic, a touch of journaling, title & some of the adorable layered circles from hip hip hooray & done. easy peasy! (the tedious part is picking all the extra pieces from the silhouette mat! lol)

city of lights layout
i know. 2 days in a row. insane? (okay i scheduled this post at the same time as yesterday's. sshhh...)
i have a mad, mad love for my cameo. i have hardly had time to scrapbook the past couple of months. but when i saw this download in the silhouette store, i knew exactly what i wanted to do with it. as is often the case, i have a layout idea first & then choose a photo. i chose one that i had been holding onto forever. it's one i took of my daughter pre-digi days. a favorite photo of her. i haven't used it because if i messed it up, i would have to hunt down the negative. (the beauty of the digital age!) she'll be 13 next week, and looking at this photo makes me a little sad! where did the time go? ANYWAY.... on to the layout.

i cut it out in several pattern papers and then pieced together. it was not a terribly time consuming layout. i suspect you will see a lot of layouts around the web using this silhouette cut because it is FABULOUS! i used the studio calico kit, city of lights and the sorbonne & louvre add ons.

a little catch up
well. i was already a terrible blogger. throw in our wacky 3 different start and end school times, baseball, softball, kung fu, church, doctor's appointments, dentist appointments, unexpected visitors (though happy to see you, hunter!), a trip to the ER, a husband who works late and add in me trying hard to get into running again, it leaves me with ZERO time and = a really, really terrible blogger. i don't even get on the computer often these days. i don't know about anyone else, but i am looking forward to lazy summer days where our only commitment is baseball, and i can scrapbook and read while the kids play. sigh.... we are almost there! so. here i am catching up with my pebbles layout from TWO weeks ago! the theme was "my favorite." i chose my kids! while they may drive me up the wall on a regular basis, they ARE my favorite!
And, before i share that layout... a fun note: you can now buy your favorite American Crafts products directly from American Crafts. How cool is that?! Check it out HERE
okay. the layout. :)

i have wanted to try my hand at a sunburst layout for ages. but, the measuring & all kind of intimidated me! enter my cameo. :) i love that machine! i used the sketch pen and drew it onto a sheet of cardstock and then switched to the green glitter pen & "wrote" the title on with the cameo. I then used the cameo to cut out the pieces of pattern paper. in hindsight, a better way would have been to cut the design out and then use it as a template for the pattern paper. ah, well.... there is always next time! :) can i just add here how much i LOVE the pebbles sequin candy dots?! i hope they continue to make them for other lines, not just hip hip hooray. (which is SUCH an adorable line!)
